An underwater image of a Crown of Thorns Sea Starfish (Acanthaster planci). This species feeds on sick and dying coral. In small numbers this helps keep the reef healthy, however if numbers increase, the effects can be devastating. Here we see the typical animal behaviour as it feeds and leaves a trail of dead coral behind. Image was taken whilst scuba diving at Phi Phi, Thailand.
